The messages and hashtags of “India is on the Moon!” started circulating as soon as India achieved a Lunar milestone with the success of Vikran Lander’s attempt to land near the southern pole of the moon.

It is one of the most proud moments for Indians across the globe.

SPECalites had a golden opportunity to witness history in the making as India’s Chandrayaan-3 Mission’s Vikram Lander attempted its historic landing on the south pole of the Moon with a live screening event.

With the unprecedented success of landing the Vikram Lander on the south pole of the moon being the only country to achieve it, India has not only expanded our understanding of the unexplored part of the moon but has inspired generations to dream big and reach for the stars.

This historic triumph exhibits the brilliance of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the dedicated scientists and engineers who have toiled relentlessly to make this dream a reality.

Our team gathered with eager anticipation, uniting to watch the once-in-a-lifetime event through live screening. As the mission unfolded, we couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride for our nation’s scientific achievements.

We celebrated every milestone achieved during the mission – from the successful initiation of the automatic landing sequence to Vikram’s nail-biting landing attempt which had everyone on the edge of their seats.
